I had tire pressure sensors go bad and a cold snap had my battery dead. Corey got me in and, while replacing the sensors had the battery tested . Everything was done and checked out fine in a quick turnaround.

The service people were quick and effecient. One major problem, however, was the horrible smell in the in the facility. It smelled like the fumes had been building up in there all day and I was afraid I was going to have an asthma attack. This cannot be healthy for the service people either. I will think twice before getting my service work done their again.

2021 Buick Enclave was having electrical issues while trying to start remotely. The car finally started with an unknown cause. The incident happened 200 miles from home After the car started, it drove and ran fine. The team at Baum, with Corey Osborne leading it, worked to find a root cause. Unfortunately a solid root cause was not detected after several hours of diagnostic services. The continued friendly service and candor is what makes Baum a unique experience.

We worked with Bryan Lewallen. He always provided the information I asked for and in the way I wanted the information given to me. I had requested the same information from several dealerships in the area within 2 hours that had the vehicle I was looking for. Of the 10-12 dealerships I requested information from, only 4 provided the details I requested. Bryan was quick to answer the additional questions I had before coming to the dealership and in writing so that I had something to refer back to. Upon arriving at the dealership, he had the vehicle up front and ready for a test drive. We never felt pressured or uncomfortable. My truck needed some attention--a "Low Tire" message kept appearing on the dash--but there were no low tires. Also, the oil needed to be changed. I took the truck in to Baum's and they fixed everything. They kept me apprised of what they were doing until everything was completed. They also found that a brake light was out (I didn't know that) so they replaced it. My service tech also did me a huge favor by letting me know that the sticker on my license plate was expired. ( I certainly didn't know that.) I went the following day to the DMV and got a new sticker. I have always received excellent service at Baum's and I am sure they will continue this tradition in the future. I am very comfortable taking my vehicles to them. I wouldn't consider taking them anywhere else.

Chad took great care, I was disappointed that the technician that serviced my truck over filled the DEF Fluid and left the residual film on the side of my truck. This was my first 7500 mile service, and did not need fluid on the outside of my 2025 GMC Denali 2500HD. The technician apparently tried rinsing it off but I ended up taking to the car wash myself afterwards.

As always... never failing... Chad was able to get my wife's Equinox in as promised and work was completed again, as promised and on time. But what's missing from ALL of this is how I got there in the first place. On vacation, 15-hours away, 1,000-miles away I had a hood ajar warming despite the hood was fully latched. I couldn't reset this and was NOT driving home with that annoyance, despite again; the hood was fully LATCHED! Chad went into troubleshooting mode as did I while talking to him long distance. He went after the wiring diagram to see if I, while he was playing doctor over the phone, how I could jumper the pins from the switch connector. While doing so, he thought that 'if' I simply disengaged the wire connector, that this would work and if it didn't; we would proceed to jumpering the pins. After disconnecting the switch? All was good -- no warning that something was ajar when it wasn't and no annoying alarm every 2-minutes and a saved marriage for driving home. Sure; the mechanic did his piece with a new switch - latch assembly, but it was Chad, on the phone providing guidance that saved the day! Not surprising from this individual.

Finance person didn’t give us the paperwork & registration at time of purchase nor when I picked up the vehicle. He sent it via UPS. Therefore my wife had to drive back to Baum’s to pick up registration until UPS delivered paperwork. The purchase experience lacked what it used to be. Also, there seemed to be an urgency to get the deal done due to the last day of the month. Everything seemed rushed.

The hood latch has never worked properly, won't latch after the hood is opened. The first time it happened the service department got it to latch in the service entry bay. The second time it happened the service department asked me to bring the vehicle in the same day and made adjustments to the latch in the shop. Hoping it got fixed this time. I also had the initial oil change performed while at the dealership. The oil change and detail group is always helpful and friendly.

Tech did not secure air box correctly. Resulting check engine light on. Air box was secured and lean fuel fault was reset. Tech would benefit from more training so as to avoid future customers experiencing this situation. I’ve spoken to a couple people there already about the issues and the lack of communication. The service department, particularly one service guy in general, greatly lacks communication with their customers when things/speedbumps occur. I don’t mind when things happen, I just want to know what and why they happened and then I’ll be completely fine with it. But when you can’t tell me why you’re fixing something that originally aaa fine, then I get very frustrated. Also, no one communicated to me that my car was ready to be picked up! That part made me the most furious, because I had been waiting for 3 days to hear back from them on when it was and no one called me. I had to call them, on my way home from the airport after traveling for a couple days for work.

Becky's crew in detailing did an OUTSTANDING job on my 2022 Equinox! It looks brand new! And the service gentlemen are so helpful and friendly!! They had 2 loaners to choose from - one big one Enclave (too much vehicle to climb into for my short stubby legs) and a smaller Buick SUV. Always great except for one item the technician relayed to me. He said my battery percentage tested low and I should consider a new battery before too long. I took it to a business that specializes in just batteries. They tested and checked it out. It tested 100% positive. No new battery needed. The battery in my car is in the trunk and the technicians never opened the trunk so I don’t know how they tested the battery percentage.

I got there at 10:00 a.m. from Decatur to get a quick lube. There were 8 cars already in line, 2 in and 6 outside.I asked the lady inside about how long it would be; and she said about 15min. per car. I was fifth in one of the lines. It took me over 2 hours and 40 min. to get an oil change and I think that's too long. There was alot of standing around at times with some employees.

I wasn't quite due for an oil change yet but I'm leaving state to go to Tennessee and I was concerned about the quality and safety of the vehicle before my trip. I asked the guys to fill everything up and top everything off and look at breaks and tires and they were more than obliged to do so. They even changed the filter for me. I'm not sure what I'll do when I move to Tennessee because I don't trust anyone else but Baum Chevrolet in Clinton! Maybe your organization can refer me to someone in the local area in Tennessee that I can trust just as much! Thank you also for loving Jesus Christ! It is worth the drive from Taylorville.

Appreciate the service rep sitting down with me and going over the results. Did not find anything wrong but he explained what to look for if the light should come on again. Did not charge me for testing the vehicle and I gretaly appreciate it. Purchased new tires for my 2013 Malibu, during installation it was discovered that 12 of the lug nuts had had their casings expand to the extent they had to be replaced. Took my 2022 Malibu in because the back up camera intermittingly would not work and had a notice of "service required"! I called Chad Scott and he was able to get me in within the week and said that they would try and diagnose the system and see if they could tell what the problem was. Within an hour of taking it in they were able to diagnose the actual camera as the problem. They ordered a new one and it was installed the next day and I was out the door! Beautiful experience!!

As far as my oil change and my tire rotation, they done a great job no complaints at all, but when they went to reset my TPS sensors, they couldn’t get it done so I had to go over to the main store and have a mechanic look at it and all they done was set me up with an appointment for January 5 good enough

The salesman was standing outside the entrance door smoking. He asked me why I was there. I told him to see about a compass they had listed. I owned one and it was perfect for me prior. He bragged about having an enservice on his computer, thats the reason the door is standing wide open. He voiced his disapproval of the enservice and states he just let's them play thru and ignores them. We entered his office and he turned it down but let it continue to play thru ignoring it. This man had a care less attitude and no respect for the company policies. I knew then I would not buy from this company. I couldn't get the mechanics to listen to me to check a headlight, this fellers behavior just emphasized the over all attitude of the company. "I care less". I did test drive the compass and yes they are the same great vehicle they were many years ago but not thru this company I will not. No serious talking about purchasing a vehicle was done.
